Journey into the Sun is a reflection on children in conflict and post-conflict situations and the power of their gaze to reveal realities obliterated by official narratives.
Based solely on archive footage and testimonies of former Austrian children sent in the post-war period to Portugal, a neutral country during World War II, the film establishes multiple resonances with present-day Europe.
