Imagem da instalação Tonnetz09B

TONNETZ09B

by António de Sousa Dias
Co-Production MNAC – Museu do Chiado
Interactive installation, 2010

Tonnetz09B is an interactive audiovisual installation in stereoscopy and multichannel that arises from my desire to create musical spaces, both sonorous and, more recently, audiovisual, where I propose what I designate as an area of freedom. A space where the viewer can simply be, wander, find, project, think.

In Tonnetz09B, image and sound create a dreamlike, abstract and diffuse world through permanent mutual influence: the relations between visual components act on the resulting sound; and the sound analysis, performed in real time, is used to modify image parameters .

As one navigates this enclosed, but perpetually renewed space, the forms that are presented call for the subject to project their own sensations; impressions in the manner of a Rorschach test or, why not, of a day spent looking at and listening to the clouds.
